The American Dental Association recommends that anyone who participates in a sport that carries a significant risk of injury should wear a mouthguard. Mouthguards typically cover the upper teeth and cushion a blow to the face, minimizing the risk of broken teeth and injuries to the soft tissues of the mouth.

If you wear braces or another fixed dental appliance, your need is even greater. We encourage all our athletic patients to invest in a personal mouthguard. A mouthguard made specially or you will fit better and be more comfortable and secure than ready-made guards. They are customizable with your name, team name, and team colors.
